Welcome to stop #59 on the Wet and Wild Blog Hop!
Water is sensuous. Water feels good and it looks good—and making love in the water can be incredible. Showers are a natural place for intimacy, especially if they’re built for it. The usual tub with a shower requires some creativity and works better in books than in real life. What would be the perfect shower? In my imagination, it’s be big, maybe six feet on a side. That leaves room to play and for more than two people. It would have a bench built in along one wall. It would need more than one overhead shower spray and maybe a few side ones. It would have one glass wall, with a mirror opposite—because eye candy is part of the fun. We’d need thick mat on the floor outside the shower, in case things continued after the hot water tank was run dry. And I’d want a heated floor for those sexy winter mornings.
Hmm. It seems I’m describing a smaller version of the shower at the Plume, a location of interest in Surrender! (Scroll down to see it. It’s the second story in the Plume Series.)
Beaches can be great places to play, too. (I always think of that scene from the movie From Here to Eternity, with Burt Lancaster, when I think of wild activities on the beach.) It’s the sand that troubles me—all that grit can’t be a good thing. Maybe one of those beach cabanas would be better. Sheltered from sun and wind, shady but with the ocean breezes blowing through, maybe located at an isolated location down the beach. A secret world. Hmm. Now I’m thinking of a scene in The Best Man, which takes place in a cabana.
Where’s your favorite place to get wet and wild? Tell me for your chance to win.
What can you win? Well, there’s a big list. Here we go:
The first erotica novella in The Plume Series is Submission, and it’s free right now at several portals. You can grab a copy at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords. It should also be free at iTunes. That’s my gift to you for stopping by.
To celebrate the Wet and Wild Blog Hop, The Wedding Anthology is on sale from now through the 22nd (that’s Wednesday) for just 99 cents. This anthology includes the three erotic romance novellas: The Best Man, Always a Bridesmaid and Forever Bound. It’s usually priced at $7.99. You can grab a copy at Amazon, B&N, Kobo, and All Romance eBooks..
There are blog hop prizes, too!
3. Prize for this stop on the blog tour!
Right here on my blog, you can enter to win a signed trade paperback copy of The Plume: The First Anthology or The Wedding Anthology. Winner’s choice. The Plume: The First Anthology includes the first three erotic novellas in my Plume Series: Submission, Surrender and Seduction. The Wedding Anthology includes three linked erotic romances: The Best Man, Always a Bridesmaid and Forever Bound. All you have to do is comment on this post for a chance to win—for every twenty-five entries, I’ll add another prize. I’ll draw a winner on the morning of the 26th.

Also, you can win a $100 gift card for Victoria’s Secret and some great digital reads by commenting on any post on the blog hop. The more often you comment, the better your chances of winning! Have fun and good luck!
Remember – tell me in your comment where you prefer to get wet and wild!
(BTW, if you haven’t commented here before, your comment will go to moderation. Don’t worry! I’ll approve it!)
Submission is free again! I thought we’d celebrate the end of the series by enticing some new readers to start. The new price was quicker to push through the distribution system than expected. Please share the links with your friends!
I’ve had postcards printed for my two series, and would be happy to send them out to any of you who would like them. If you want to take some to a readers’ conference, if you have a blog and send out such things with prizes, if you’d like some to share with your friends of if you’d just like postcards for yourself, all you have to do is let me know. The one for the Plume series has the nine novella covers on the front and is oversized. The one for the Wedding, has those three novella covers on the front and is regularly sized. Just let me know how many you’d like when you send me your mailing address.
Leave a comment on this post if you’re interested. Your email address won’t show, and I’ll email you when I see your comment.
Meanwhile, Celebration keeps getting longer! This morning both Rex and Joanna left ideas on my desk – these characters don’t want this series to end! It will be at least half as long again as the other novellas, so you’ll have more to read when it’s done.
It’s the first time I’ve been on a bestseller list, and what great company. SURRENDER is #6 at KOBO for indie-published books.
WooHOO! I’m so excited! (Look at all those famous authors on the same list. Wow!)
Welcome to The Plume, a private club where members are bound by their desires — and their fantasies come true.
That’s the tagline for my series, set in a private BDSM club called The Plume and featuring the entwined stories of a number of characters. Let’s meet them all quickly.
Thanks to Rex, one of the owners of the club, the Plume is a safe place to explore sexual fantasies. The identities of members are kept secret, and their limits are known to Rex. No one gets hurt and fantasies come true. Everyone has a naughty fantasy – imagine if you could explore it, risking nothing but your own pleasure? That’s Rex’s idea of heaven.
Athena, Rex’s partner and the other owner of the Plume, doesn’t have many limits. She wants to explore pleasure in every way with everyone. She figures out fantasies that members didn’t even realize they had, and makes them come true.
Joanna is the reporter determined to get the inside story on the secretive Plume. The series begins with her determination to write an exposé and her discovery (a surprise to herself) that all this BDSM stuff is pretty exciting. She loves being a submissive. The thing is that Joanna would like to add the emotional element – she’d like to submit to her co-worker Mike, a guy she thinks is hot but a straight arrow.
Mike is a reporter with a shady past. He’s left the world of BDSM behind, hoping to find true love and a life partner. He’s fallen hard for Joanna, but she’s all business all the time. Imagine Mike’s reaction when he discovers that Joanna likes the Plume. Imagine Joanna’s reaction when she realizes Mike knows all these games, and plays them to perfection.
Louise is Joanna’s roommate, an artist whose vision doesn’t pay the bills. Louise is the risk-taker, the one who will try anything once. She thinks Joanna is uptight and is shocked to figure out how much fun her roommate has been having. Louise isn’t one to stand back and miss the fun – she gets herself into the Plume, which doesn’t go down well with Rex or Athena.
The Count was Athena’s first master and a man she thought abandoned in her past. She’s the only one who is surprised when he turns up at the Plume, hoping to rekindle what he insists was true love.
Those are just a few of the characters at the Plume. Wouldn’t you love to visit such a place? Well, here’s my New Year’s Present for you:
SUBMISSION is the first novella in my Plume series.
Lifestyle reporter Joanna is prepared to do whatever is necessary to get the story about the notorious private club known as the Plume – even apply for membership. Rex will do anything to protect his club and the privacy of his membership – and he isn’t adverse to teaching Joanna a lesson about curiosity – and control. They both get more than expected when Joanna’s own secret desires are revealed.
SUBMISSION is free at these portals right now, so go download a copy with my compliments!
Free at Smashwords
Free at All Romance eBooks
Free at Sony
Free at KOBO
Free at Barnes and Noble
Free at Apple iTunes US
It should be free at ALL Apple iTunes stores, so if you live outside of the US, please look for it on the site for your country.
I hope you enjoy your visit to the Plume!
Win, Win, Win!

Things will be quiet here for a few days – as I argue with Rex, Joanna disciplines Mike and Athena gets even with the Count. Keep an eye out for the Naughty New Years Blog Hop. This event is being organized by Skye Warren – she organized one last summer which was a lot of fun. There are over 200 stops on the hop, with a prize at each blog and a Grand Prize to be awarded as well. You could start off the new year with some hot reads! Details on January 2, but you can have a sneak peek at the participating authors, right here.
In the meantime, Merry Christmas to all of you, and every good wish to you and yours for the New Year.
One of the things that is pretty frustrating about digital publishing is my lack of control of pricing — at one particular portal. It is part of Amazon’s Terms of Service that they control the price of the book – the price I set is subject to their approval and/or modification. They will not allow authors to make a book free on Amazon (unless that title is enrolled in their KDP Select program, which requires that the book be available only at Amazon). They may match a free price at another portal or not, at their discretion. On their various portals in different countries, they have the same right to manage prices.
It had been my plan to leave SUBMISSION free for a while, at least through January. That’s been a pretty effective promotion strategy for this series, probably because it gives readers a sample. SUBMISSION is no longer free at Amazon.com this morning, and has not been free at all of their portals ever.
If you would like to see SUBMISSION free in your territory, you (as a consumer) can report a lower price to Amazon. If enough people do this, they may choose to match the free price. Just scroll down the product page – right above the bar chart for customer reviews, you’ll see a hotlink Tell Us About a Lower Price. That opens a window for you to paste in the link to another portal that has the same title free. I would love to have the title be free through the new year, so would appreciate your help in reporting. I hear that the best links to report are KOBO and Apple. If you do report a link, please make sure it’s the link specific to your territory. (That’s important with iTunes.)
I’ll put all the links here just for your reference. The prices at Amazon are as of this minute – they can change at any time.
Thank you all! I’m off to put the finishing touches on FOREVER BOUND and will let you know when it’s available.
SUBMISSION is #1 on the Amazon Erotica list on Amazon.co.uk.
I’m so excited!. Thanks to everyone who has downloaded a copy – and even more thanks to everyone who has gone on to read the other books in The Plume series.
SUBMISSION is #29 on the same list for Amazon.com, which is also an exciting thing. Now we know – readers like free samples.
Oops – this one got rescheduled…
I’m taking part in a blog event hosted by Kelly McClymer on her blog this month. Her daughter is getting married, so she thought it would be fun to have guests blog about the weddings in their blooks. Here’s the permalink to my post.
My guest post about my new series The Wedding (and how it was inspired by the best laid plans going awry) is on her blog today, so please come and say hello.
