Celebrate!

CelebrationSmall

Celebration has gone to be formatted for publication. The formatter is ready to jump right on it, so I’m hoping to start publishing it before Monday.

YAY! This novella is almost 45,000 words, so you’ll have a longer read this time.

Stay tuned for links etc. Right now, I’m going to have a glass of wine – why don’t you join me and celebrate, too?

Update!

CelebrationSmall

Phew! You’ll all be glad to know that Celebration is very very close. (I’m certainly glad!) I have to go through the whole story one last time, probably add a bit here and there, then will get it to the formatter on Friday. I’ve asked her to do us all a big favor and turn it around quickly, so fingers crossed that there’s time in her schedule for that.

Right now, it’s looking like Celebration will be about 40,000 words in length. The other Plume novellas have been around 30,000 words, but there were lots of loose ends to tie up on this one. I’ve run out of Post-it notes on my desk, and no characters have whispered in my ear for a few days, so I think we’ve got it all covered.

I’ll let you know when it’s published. It’ll go to all the portals roughly at the same time, but will go live at ARe and Smashwords first (because they have no review process), then Amazon, KOBO and B&N. Apple will bring up the rear, as usual.

Thanks again for your patience and I hope you find the final installment of the Plume Series was worth the wait!

Next up will be the anthology of the last three Plume books, in both print and digital. Look for that in June, as I still need to have a cover designed.

Late Again

What is it about committing to a deadline that makes everything go crazy? I’ve been living with Murphy’s Law this year, and can’t quite believe how bad it’s been. I’m done with deadlines and promises – maybe then, things will calm down around here.

So, yes, I’m late again and I’m sorry.

And no, I’m not going to make a promise about the publication date of Celebration. Let’s keep those gremlins away this time!

I’ll let you know when it’s published.

If you know any way to make Murphy’s Law stop, I’m listening!

Almost Mid-March

Time for an update on Celebration!

CelebrationSmall

The story is coming along really well – Rex IS behaving himself and his part is done. (Yes, I’m kind of amazed about that myself.)

One of the things I’ve been wanting to do is to have my book files professionally formatted. This will make them look better on your e-readers, and is also an opportunity to get lots of links into them. This means I need to read them all through one more time to check for minor corrections and tweaks. It’s a great moment to do that now – I can ensure that Celebration ties up all the loose ends and that there are no continuity errors in the series. I’m diving into that this week, before I do the final edit on Celebration.

Celebration will also be the first of my books to be professionally formatted right from the outset. I’m hoping that this will mean it is published more quickly at Apple than other titles – things seem to be really slowing down there. It will, though, take a bit of time depending on the formatter’s schedule. We’re trying to keep everything tightly organized! I’d like to try out the pre-order option now available on KOBO but that will depend upon how the time shakes out. That might have to wait until the next book.

At this point, it looks as if Celebration will be a March release, but not one on the 15th.

I’m hoping that by the end of April, there will be beautiful new editions of everything out in the world. You might get the new versions automatically from the portal where you bought your copy, or you might need to request them, but I’ll let you know when they’re available.

And finally, I’m adapting my plan for the future. For the next series, I’m going to write all of it before I begin publishing it. There will be a gap in releases while I write away, but then we’ll have definite release dates for every installment of the next series.

So, there you go! That’s all my news for now.

And I’m Back!

Two bits of good news for you today. Not only have I crawled back to the land of the living, but Joanna told me what was wrong with SWITCH. She’s brilliant, but her idea means rewriting or revising everything about her and Mike in the novella.

I’m hoping for publication this Thursday. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, I’ve uploaded everything directly to KOBO. It was so easy that I could even do it when I was sick.

Here’s hoping none of you have caught this virus.

Update

I promised you an update or a buy link today, and you can see from the title which one you’re getting.

Incredibly, Rex behaved himself beautifully this time. Joanna is a bit muddled up and indecisive (as usual), but Mike is more than ready to tell her what to do. Athena, however, is making me crazy. She wants about 100,000 words to “straighten things out with the Count” as she says, but I’m trying to encourage some restraint.

:-D

I know you don’t want to hear this, but I’m a week away from being done. :-(

Katie suggested that this series (or maybe the next one) should be longer, but I’m not sure we could all take the torment!

Progress

I’ve been having a wonderfully productive month, so thought I’d give you all a little update.

ForeverBound2

I’m just about finished FOREVER BOUND – that’s #3 in the Wedding anthology – and am hoping to publish it this upcoming weekend. I’ll tell you when it’s been uploaded, as usual, and post the links when they go live.

There will be a Wedding anthology, but I’ll have to format the files (for print and digital) plus get a new cover done. With the holidays coming, that anthology might not be available until the new year.

And yes, then I’ll head back to the Plume for SWITCH. :-)

Cover for FLASHBACK

Just got this from the designer and I think it’s wonderful! I had to share. Have a peek:

Now, you don’t just want to see the cover – you want to read the story! So, here’s where I’m at this month: my plan is to finish both FOREVER BOUND and FLASHBACK and publish them both by the end of October. I’m finishing FOREVER BOUND first – Rex doesn’t get to jump line twice – but you can probably plan on seeing both in that last week of October. (I’ll be away at a writers’ retreat and probably won’t be able to get online for a week or so. On the upside, though, I’ll get lots of writing done.)

So, by the end of October, I’ll be finally caught up!

Now tell me – what do you think of the new cover?

An Update

I’m writing away, honest and true! And here’s what you can expect in the next couple of weeks.

ALWAYS A BRIDESMAID is just a tweak away. Fiona gave me some trouble, but we’re all sorted out now. (As soon as Kade got determined, everything was fine.) I expect to publish AAB – which is the second story in The Wedding trilogy – by Monday.

After that will be FOREVER BOUND, #3 in The Wedding trilogy. This one is perking along – lots of good BDSM fun for the happy couple – so it will be published soon. Two weeks, worst case. I’m aiming for it to be a week after AAB but Stuff Happens.

Then, it’s time for EXPOSURE, story #6 in The Plume series. My cover artist is on vacation, so we still need to do the cover. (And I think she’s worth waiting for! The Plume covers are awesome, IMO.) The story is pretty much ready to go, so (fingers crossed) you’ll have another Plume fix by the end of the month.

In September, there will be new anthologies, in simultaneous print and digital, for The Wedding and The Plume: Second Anthology.

Plume #7 will be an October release.

Now you know!

SUBMISSION is back!

I had enrolled SUBMISSION in KDP Select, a program at Amazon that requires the book to be available exclusively there for 90 days. Well, those 90 days are over, so SUBMISSION is back out in the rest of the world – or is making its way there through various distribution networks.

Available from Amazon.
Available from Smashwords.
Available from All Romance eBooks.
Also available from Apple, Barnes & Noble, Sony and KOBO.

This also means that the first Plume anthology has been distributed to other outlets. It had to be exclusively at Amazon up until now, because SUBMISSION was included in it.

The First Anthology of the Plume includes the first three novellas in the Plume series: SUBMISSION, SURRENDER and SEDUCTION.

Available at Amazon.
Available at Createspace.
Available at Smashwords.
Available at All Romance eBooks.
Also available at Apple, Barnes & Noble, Sony and KOBO.

In other news, I had a long talk with my husband about all this distribution stuff, because it confuses me a bit. He suggested that I just distribute the books through the portals I already have signed up, not worry about it so much, and concentrate on writing more books. I really like the sound of that advice, so I’m taking it. :-)

I’m slow to finish EXHIBITION, btw, but there are two reasons for that. One is that I really like the story so I’m lingering over it to ensure that I get it right, and the second reason is that I have a surprise for you – a new trilogy of erotic romances. EXHIBITION will be published this month and I’m hoping to get the entire new trilogy published in June. More on The Wedding trilogy once EXHIBITION is published. Stay tuned!
