Direct to Barnes and Noble

I’ve uploaded everything directly to B&N today and the books are now available for sale on their site. Right now, there are two copies of everything (except SWITCH) displayed, because the editions coming from Smashwords have yet to be removed. This should get resolved in the next week or so. (And it doesn’t matter which you buy – I’ll get paid either way!)

What will happen, though, is that all the reviews and ratings posted on the older editions will disappear along with them. So, if you have previously posted a review or rating at B&N for one of my books, or you’d like to do so now, I’d really appreciate it.

This is one of those mildly painful things that will make everything easier in the long run. You saw how quickly SWITCH was available at B&N – in future, all new books will be published there that way.

The B&N links on the pages on the tab (The Plume, The Wedding, Anthologies) are all to the new editions. You can tell which ones they are, as well, because they have no ratings or reviews, and right now, they have no cover images. That’ll probably change tonight. They also don’t have Smashwords listed as the publisher.

Thanks!

  1. Hello – so will it be a matter of time before “Switch” will be available to be purchased through IBooks? I have been waiting patiently. Thanks!

  2. Hi Ella,

Love all of your books! The Plume series has completely bewitched my friends & I. When will Switch be available on iBooks? We’re on pins & needles waiting… BTW, we’re glad you’re feeling better!

    • Ah, iBooks. I’m distributing to Apple via Smashwords. This is slllllloooooooooooow and there’s not much to be done about it. Step One – the book has to be approved for Premium Distribution from Smashwords. You’ll be happy to know that happened for SWITCH last night. YAY! That can take up to a week, so less than two days is excellent. Step Two – it has to be shipped to Apple. That hasn’t happened yet but there are daily shipments. Step Three – Apple does their quality control review before making the book available. That can take two weeks.

So, we’re making progress, but not nearly there yet.

  3. I have a nook n I got it yesterday n it was a good quick read I wish it had more of rex and atheana but maybe the next book will be a really big long finally to the plume series πŸ˜‰ can’t wait!!

  4. Wow, I love all of the Plume series that I’ve read so far!!! I thought Switch was going to be the last of the series(was totally disappointed) now I can’t wait for the next one!!! Hoping we all won’t have to wait long!! If there is any truth to these I’m one jealous girl! And i believe that Huntsville needs to have a “plume-like” establishment!!! Glad you are feeling better πŸ™‚

    Thanks

    • Thanks Melissa – Celebration will be out in March. I’ll give you all a more firm date when it’s closer to being done – there are lots of loose ends to tie up, no pun intended!
